As we have received feedback from the community on the Attendance Options Redesign proposal, we have compiled recurring questions into an FAQ, available at www.rochesterschools.org/aor-faq.

Info sessions

If you want to learn more about the Attendance Options Redesign proposal, please join Superintendent Pekel at one of the information sessions listed below. Attendees will be able to ask questions at each session. 

  • Virtual sessions from 12-1 p.m. on December 13, 14, 18, and 19. You can view the link to join the virtual meeting by selecting the event on the events page on our website on the morning of the session. The link will be posted by 10 a.m.

  • In-person from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Edison Board Room (615 7th St SW) on December 13, 14, 18, and 19.

Feedback Form

Starting tomorrow, a feedback form will be available on our website's Attendance Options Redesign page, www.rochesterschools.org/attendance-options-redesign. The form will be available in English, Spanish, Somali, Vietnamese, and Chinese. The RPS community is encouraged to complete the form, especially if you haven’t yet submitted any feedback via our email. The form will be available through the end of the December 22, 2023 work day.

  • January 9, 2024, School Board Regular Meeting: An updated version of the Attendance Options Redesign proposal is presented in the Prep for Action category of the School Board agenda.

  • January 16, 2024, School Board Study Session: The RPS School Board discusses the updated version of the Attendance Options Redesign proposal.

  • January 23, 2024, School Board Regular Meeting: The RPS School Board votes on the Attendance Options Redesign in the Action category of the School Board agenda.
