Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Friday update from the Main Office.
Seniors - We are looking for 3 to 4 students to speak at Graduation. If you are interested in speaking at Graduation, please stop by and see Mrs. Bender in room 3-205.
JM will be holding a free Dental Clinic on Thursday, May 1st. Please see the Nurse or Mrs. Vasquez in 3-111 for a registration form. Registrations are required and due by April 18th.
Juniors and Seniors, Prom tickets will go on sale next week. Guest forms are available in the Main Office. As a reminder, sophomores can attend Prom as a guest of a junior or senior. However, freshmen are not allowed to attend Prom. Look for Prom posters around the building with QR codes to register as a guest and purchase your tickets. If you are bringing a guest who is not a JM student, you must hand in the completed guest form before you can buy your guest ticket.
The next Relay For Life meeting will be TUESDAY, April 15th at 8:15 am. See you there!
Our Rocket Speech team had a fabulous sections tournament last night in Northfield! 18 in final rounds, 12 qualifiers to the state tournament, and CHAMPIONS in our section!

2nd Lieutenant Austin Sommars with the US Air Force will be at JM on Thursday, April 24th, from 10:30am to 11:30am to provide information about ROTC scholarships. He will meet with interested students and counselors in the CCRC room 3-105.
Interested students may get a pass in the counseling office or main office.
Juniors and Seniors who plan to bring a guest from another school to Prom, date forms are now available in the Main Office. You must return the date form before you can purchase a ticket for your guest.
Spanish Club will meet after school today in room 3-G20.
Tomorrow, Student Council will be hosting a small cultural event. Beginning 4th period tomorrow, we will have a few cultural food samples available in the lobby during all lunches. Come down to the main lobby to enjoy. If you have cultural clothing please wear it tomorrow.

Good Afternoon Rockets! This is your Tuesday update from the Main Office.
Prom Committee- Please check your school email ASAP. Prom is only 3 1/2 weeks away and we have some important decisions to make!!
The Sisters Saves Sisters meeting has been canceled tomorrow.
Relay for Life, our next Meeting is Thursday, April 10th at 8:15 AM in room 2-201. We have lots of fun stuff to plan and do! Relay is only a month away.
Juniors - ACT Test Day is tomorrow. Doors will open at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Breakfast will be available, Your cell phone and any other electronic devices will be collected before testing begins. You may want to consider leaving all devices at home or in your locked car if you drive to school. Please have your Chromebook fully charged for tomorrow. Lunch will be available after testing if you would like to eat before you leave school. School buses will be running at the normal time tomorrow. If you will be riding the bus home you can wait in the cafeteria until they arrive. Go to bed early tonight and come to school well rested. Good luck! You will all do great!
For students in grades 9, 10 and 12 you will not report to school tomorrow. Unless you are in grade 12 and scheduled to take the test.

Juniors - ACT Test Day is Wednesday, April 9. Room assignments have been posted in the Cafeteria, at Door 1 and outside the Counseling Office.
Congratulations to the following FCCLA students that ROCKED it at State competitions in Bloomington over break. All of the students but one were national qualifiers which meant they got the top gold in their category!!

IN ADDITION! A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO WAITHIRA MBUTHIA FOR WINNING THE KIKKOMAN JAPANESE EXCHANGE PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP!!! She was picked out of all the students nationwide and will be spending the summer in Japan as an exchange student for FCCLA. She will be living with a host family in Japan!!! Way to go Waithira!
FCCLA members, don't forget there is a meeting Tuesday after school in Ms. Hansen's room. There will be a meeting afterwards for all students and parents that will be attending Nationals in Orlando Florida in July.
