Keith Secola is an accomplished Ojibwa/Anishinabe musician. His accolades include winning nine Native American Music Awards, including Best Producer and Artist of the Year, Branches Out With a New Album, and a New Label. He will be playing for the public on November 28 at Dakota Middle School at 7 p.m. Throughout the month, he will be making appearances at several of our schools, playing music and telling students his story. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, presented by the Panther Playhouse of Century High School, opens tomorrow night, November 9, and runs through November 11, with play times from 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
High School Musical, presented by Mayo Stage Door Backstage Pass of Mayo High School, opens November 16 and runs through November 19, with evening showings at 7 p.m. and a 1:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday.
Mama Mia! presented by John Marshall Theater of John Marshall High school, opens November 16 and runs through November 18 with evening showings at 6 p.m. and a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the Hometown Fan app on your phone. To purchase tickets through the app, simply download the Hometown Fan app and search for Rochester High School hosting the play of your choice.

This morning, Folwell had a very special assembly announcing their achievement of a National Blue Ribbon Award officially making them a National Blue Ribbon School! Next Friday, two of Folwell's teachers, Mr. Olson and Mrs. Smith will go to Washington D.C. to accept the award. Stay tuned next week as Folwell celebrates with their Blue Ribbon Week. Career and Technical Education Center at Heintz (CTECH) is a dynamic collaboration between Rochester Public Schools, Rochester Community and Technical College, and our professional community. CTECH offers inspiring hands-on programs, combining rigorous coursework with project-based learning in a collaborative setting for students who want to gain a deep understanding of, and actively participate in, high-demand professions. Students are able to gain hands on experience in a variety of technical fields, and gain exposure to potential career opportunities in the future.

This week is National School Psychology Week. Our School Psychologists in RPS support the evaluation process of our Birth-21-year-old students who are suspected of or have been determined to have a disability that impacts their educational progress and performance at school.
